About

Van 'Oss Online presents the digitised Van 'Oss yearbooks for Dutch corporations, 1904–1941: the page scans, the OCR output, and the structured data drawn from them.

Each yearbook records the accounts of the companies quoted in the Netherlands for that year. A page carries one or more blocks: a company header, a balance sheet, a profit and loss statement, or a paragraph describing how profit was distributed. The viewer lets you move through the record either page by page, or by following one company's block from one yearbook to the next.

Acquisition, OCR, parsing and image generation are carried out in separate projects. This application is the viewer, and reads the record without altering it.
